Veterans Care

The Homemaker/Home Health Aid/Respite Benefit

What is Homemaker Home Health Aide Care?

Homemaker and Home Health Aide services stand as a vital support for veterans preferring the comfort of their own homes but requiring assistance with personal care and daily activities. These services are invaluable for veterans of any age, providing not just help with daily living but also companionship to combat feelings of isolation, loneliness, and withdrawal.

This program is designed to meet the unique needs of each veteran, working together with community resources to provide comprehensive care. This collaboration ensures a smooth and holistic care experience, improving the quality of life for veterans and giving caregivers much-needed respite.

This veteran benefit takes between 3-7 years by going directly to the VA, where Andi’s Angels Home Care can expedite this, and if you qualify it can take as little as 4-12 weeks.

In the heart of our community, we understand the significance of providing care that resonates with the values and needs of our veterans. Our caregivers are carefully chosen for their professionalism and unwavering dedication to compassionate care. We guarantee services are delivered with the utmost respect and dignity. Choosing this path of support offers a meaningful alternative to nursing home care. It allows veterans to maintain their independence in the familiar surroundings of their homes.

We are dedicated to honoring the service of our veterans.  We do this by providing them the care and support they deserve, helping them lead independent and dignified lives. Our goal is to ensure that every veteran feels valued, and respected, and has access to high-quality care tailored to their individual needs.

Veterans and their surviving spouses can qualify for up to $2,727 per month to help pay for an aide in their home. This is the Aid and Attendance Benefit

Our fathers, mothers, and friends may be eligible for a unique benefit via the Veterans Administration (VA) called “Aid and Attendance.” The benefit can provide up to $2,727 per month to Veterans and their spouses who need non-medical care/assistance to help them with activities of daily living in their home or chosen place of residence. There are currently over 15 million Veterans who are believed could qualify for this benefit and only 3% of them are currently taking advantage of it – mainly because most all don’t know it exists or have been inaccurately told by the VA that they don’t qualify.

Requirements:

  • They are over age 65.
  • They are a Veteran, a spouse of a living Veteran, or a surviving spouse of a Veteran.
  • The Veteran served as “Active Military” status for 90 days during an approved time of war: WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War or the Gulf War
  • The Veteran had an honorable discharge.
  • The Veteran or surviving spouse meets income requirements.
  • The Veteran, spouse of a living Veteran, or surviving spouse of a Veteran needs assistance with bathing, grooming, meal preparation, toileting, incontinence care, mobility and transferring, companionship, and more. on a regular basis in order to stay independent in their home or chosen place of residence.

Avoid the Long Wait

Our VA Accredited Benefits Agents can help Veterans and their spouses apply for this benefit from the comfort of their own home and get approved 99.5% of the time within 6-12 weeks. Going to a local VA Regional Office to apply will most likely result in many trips to the VA Office, long lines, and waiting up to 10 years to get a decision on their application that 2/3 of the time will statistically be a “benefit denial.”

"We were incredibly blessed to have found Andi's Angels when we searched for a home healthcare aide for our elderly yet fiercely independent mother. We live in another state, so are unable to visit her as frequently as we would like. Andi contacts me personally to keep us apprised of any challenges or changes in mom's living situation. "
